The Speaker Biometrics Committee, chaired by Judith Markowitz, J. Markowitz Consultants, and Ken Rehor, Cisco Systems, published guidelines, specifications, and best practices for developing and deploying speaker biometrics, including speaker identification and speaker verification (SIV). The committee worked to establish liaison relationships with standards organizations involved or interested in SIV. The Speaker Biometrics Committee forged formal liaison relationships with the biometrics committees within the International Committee for Information Technology Standards (INCITS), American National Standards Institute, and the International Standards Organization.
The committee produced a number of core publications on SIV that provide valuable information and guidance to application developers, standards organizations, and end users, including:
- Data Exchange File Format Working Draft, March 10, 2006
- SIV Applications Working Draft, February 13, 2006
- SIV Introduction and Best Practices Working Draft, February 13, 2006
