VoiceXML Forum Publishes Runtime Data Logging Specification for Public Comment

NEW YORK, SPEECHTEK 2007, Aug. 20, 2007 — Today at the SpeechTEK 2007 Conference and Exhibition, the VoiceXML Forum announced the publication of the Session Log Annotation Markup Language (SLAML) specification. The new draft specification describes a methodology for collecting, storing and retrieving runtime data for speech-based services and will help make data-analysis and service-tuning tools platform-independent.

VoiceXML Forum Launches VoiceXML 2.1 Platform Certification Program

A pilot program, open to VoiceXML Forum members who have previously certified their platforms, will begin in June and will include certification testing for VoiceXML 2.1, SISR 1.0 and key features of other languages in the W3C Speech Interface Framework.

VoiceXML Forum Applauds W3C’s Decision to Include Speaker Identification and Verification in VoiceXML 3.0

PISCATAWAY, N.J., Dec. 6, 2005 — The VoiceXML Forum today announced its support for the World Wide Web Consortium’s (W3C’s) decision to include speaker identification and verification (SIV) in the next version of the Voice Extensible Markup Language (VoiceXML). VoiceXML is a markup language for creating voice user interfaces that use automatic speech recognition and text-to-speech synthesis and became a recognized Web standard in March, 2004.

SAN FRANCISCO, SPEECHTEK WEST 2005, Feb. 22, 2005 — Today, at the SpeechTEK West 2005 Conference and Exposition, the VoiceXML Forum announced that it has expanded its Board of Directors. Representatives from Intel, Loquendo, ScanSoft, Tellme and Verizon will join existing Board members AT&T, HP, IBM, Lucent, Motorola, Nuance, Oracle, Vocalocity, VoiceGenie Technologies and West Corporation in providing strategic direction and leadership to the organization. With the expanded leadership team in place, the VoiceXML Forum also announced its strategic agenda for the year.
