The Forum has established its agenda for the 2012-2013 period which is to promote and expand its platform and developer certification programs; continue to provide technical guidance to the Forum’s membership regarding VoiceXML and related technologies; advocate new technical initiatives to effectively engage and support its diverse membership community; maintain and enhance its cooperative relationships with the W3C and industry consortia; and support educational programs.

“It’s been more than ten years since the VoiceXML standard was introduced, and its relevance to the industry is still key,” continued Burnett. “There are still many organizations yet to migrate their legacy IVR systems to VoiceXML-certified platforms.
